MLJ – siMpLy Jazz
MLJ – siMpLy Jazz stands for a new jazz standard project by Misha, which she has created with Lionel Haas (Piano, Berlin) and Jonathan Robinson (Bass, New York / Berlin). Lionel Haas and Misha have performed together on several occasions. The renowned pianist and composer (winner of the Jazz and Blues Awards Berlin 2007) -> who has also studied in the US and tours internationally with several bands - not only has a special talent for accompanying singers, he shares with Misha a love for mixing different styles and creating modern arrangements. While touring together in the Caucus region, they decided to turn this collaboration into a lasting project. The New York bass player Jonathan Robinson who now lives in Berlin, turned out to be the perfect third man. The trio has compiled some well-known jazz standards that were rearranged by Misha and plays them in such a fresh and relaxed way, as if they had just come into being. Innovative und groovy!
